About the Brothers

Zach Curnow has spent many years honing his skills in some of Adelaide 's best restaurants. He spent four years as head chef at The Melting Pot. Here he discovered his affinity for high quality modern French cuisine. During his leadership the restaurant was nationally regarded as one of the country's finest and received many accolades and awards. From The Melting Pot, he moved to The Wine Underground in the city, where he was joined by his brother, Sam. The Wine Underground soon hit the radar as one of Adelaide's destination restaurants.

Sam Curnow has worked as a chef in a wide variety of distinguished restaurants. This includes time at Mona Lisa's Bistro where he developed both a passion for Middle Eastern cuisine and bread making. Two years at Grange Jetty Kiosk followed, including time as head chef. From there he headed off for a stint in Europe, where he landed a position at the very trendy, French inspired Simply Nico. Then to Edinburgh, where he worked in the Edinburgh Festival Restaurant. After returning to Adelaide, Sam worked at the Botanic Gardens Restaurant where he further developed his interests in a diversity of food styles. Working in a venue that provided both an a la carte restaurant and large function catering made the Gardens an exciting and interesting place to gain experience. After four years he moved to The Wine Underground where he became joint head chef with Zach.
